Last week the Mossy Oak Properties team from Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina visited the Mossy Oak Properties headquarters in West Point, Mississippi. There were dozens of offices with hundreds of land specialists there from across the entire Mossy Oak Properties nationwide network. The brokers in attendance signified only a small portion of the people who represent the Mossy Oak brand every day and I was lucky enough to be in attendance.
The Land Summit consisted of everything from office of the year recognition, to motivational speakers, to general updates on the Mossy Oak brand and their dominant marketplace performance.
Amongst one of the awards handed out was the prestigious and highly coveted Fox Haas award. The award was named after Mr. Fox Haas, who is the father of Toxey, the founder of Mossy Oak. Mr. Fox has accomplished more in his time in the field than most of could ever hope for or dream about. Mr. Haas was incredibly instrumental during the re-establishment of wild turkeys in Mississippi, east central MS to be exact.
“I’ve always loved to hunt,” Haas says, “and early on I was able to take advantage of places that had established wildlife populations, but it dawned on me somewhere in mid-life, if I was going to continue to enjoy it, and my children and grandchildren were going to enjoy it, we needed to try to give back more than we were taking away.” http://www.legendsoftheoutdoors.com/index.php/hall-of-fame/2014-inductees/189-carl-fox-haas
The award was given to an agent who not only represents Mossy Oak as whole, but someone who encourages leadership and teamwork, someone who focuses on others needs before their own, and conducts their business in a highly ethical and honest manner. We’re proud to not only have had Mr. Bud Cook nominated for the Fox Haas award, but he also won the award. With over 600 land brokers within the Mossy Oak Properties national network, receiving the award was no easy feat, but one that was well deserved and we’re incredibly proud to have him as a part of our team. There is no doubt that Bud is a huge asset to Mossy Oak Properties and the work that he has done in his 30 plus years of real estate has left a lasting impression on his colleagues and his clients. From all of us, congratulations, Bud!
